Charla Suggs

Counselor, LCMHCS

Charla Suggs is a seasoned mental health professional bringing over 25 years of comprehensive experience to her practice. Her extensive career has spanned public, private, and government sectors, allowing her the unique privilege of serving diverse and often high-stress populations including first responders, teachers, service members (active-duty, reservists, and veterans), college students, and public servants. Charla utilizes a comprehensive blend of evidence-based interventions and trauma-informed modalities to create highly personalized strategies for each client. Charla's goal is to tailor these techniques to help clients build insight, heal relationships, achieve restorative sleep, and effectively discharge stress, anxiety, and trauma.

Her career roles have included Probation Officer, Licensed School Counselor (K-12), Outreach and Clinical Coordinator for a university, and Director of a state agency employee support program, providing her with a holistic perspective on professional, personal, and family challenges. Above all these, there are two roles Charla endorses most proudly of all: veteran law enforcement wife of 28 years and mother of two servicemembers - a sailor and an airman.
